Silver Pancake Rock Necklace & Earrings Sets

This beautiful sterling silver necklace and earrings set is inspired by New Zealand’s stunning Pancake Rocks (Punakaiki). Handcrafted by local Nelson jeweller, Gaya Selder.

Punakaiki and its Pancake Rocks can be found on the wild west coast of New Zealand’s South Island. The famous rocks are columns of limestone resembling stacks of pancakes and they began forming 30 million years ago. At high tide, with a heavy swell running, the ocean thunders into caverns beneath the rocks and huge water spouts blast skywards through blowholes. A truly spectacular sight!

About the Necklace

Pancake Rocks Necklace features a five rock sterling silver “stack” hung on 41cm (16.1 inch) silver tiger tail (jeweller’s wire).
Fastens with lobster style silver clasp.

About the Earrings

Set is available with either Sleeper Earrings or Hook Earrings

• Pancake Rocks Sleeper Earrings feature a five rock sterling silver “stack” threaded on silver sleepers, 28mm (1 inch) in diameter. Sleepers close with small hook.


• Pancake Rocks Hook Earrings feature a five rock sterling silver “stack” threaded on a silver bar, 28mm (1 inch) long. The bar is attached by one link to silver hooks.
