About Silk Bamboo
Made from 70% Spun Silk and 30% Bamboo, Silk Bamboo has all the best qualities of both natural fibres. Supremely soft and medium weight, this premium quality natural knit has a matt finish, drapes beautifully and always looks first-class. It is warm and pliable with a natural stretch, and feels simply wonderful to wear.
Super Soft, Wrinkle Resistant & Easy Care
Pure silk has been treasured for thousands of years for its beauty and softness. The smooth, round structure of bamboo fibre is also soft and non-irritating, even to sensitive skin. The natural elasticity of both Silk and Bamboo provides a high level of wrinkle resistance. It is gentle machine washable.
Cool in Summer & Warm in Winter
Silk is a natural insulator providing thermal warmth in cooler temperatures, and releasing warmth to keep you cool when it’s hot. Silk is highly breathable and draws moisture away, releasing it into the air, to keep you dry and comfortable. Equally, a cross-section of the bamboo fibre shows many micro-gaps and micro-holes making bamboo fibre highly absorbent and breathable. In cooler conditions it also provides insulation, retaining body warmth by trapping pockets of warm air against your skin.
Easy on the Environment
Producing silk is, in most cases, still a cottage industry and the silk worms will only thrive in a natural, non-chemical environment. Equally, Bamboo needs no pesticides, fertilisers or other chemicals to grow.
