Fully charged, the Solar Light Visor will give you up to 5 hours of light on full power, or up to 36 hours of light on other modes. The first charge will take 3 days but after that a day's charging in sunlight (approx. 8 hours in reasonable light) will fully charge the cap. Usage time depends on the conditions in which the cap is charged - less time, or cloudy conditions means fewer hours of light available.
How far will you see at night with your Solar Light Visor?
Your Solar Light Visor will shine around 6 feet in front of you with a standard head angle. By lifting your head higher the beam of light can extend out to around 30 feet (about two car lengths) ahead. Naturally, as the distance gets greater the intensity of the light lowers. Dimming and flashing modes produce different results.
And, it's not just a matter of seeing, but also of being seen. Wearing your Solar Light Visor means you can be seen from a distance. While the lights have been angled so they won't shine directly in people's eyes, they are still highly visible.
Powersave:
The Solar Light Visor uses a special mode to turn off before the battery drains completely. This ensures the cap always has a little left in reserve to provide short bursts of light with every press of the button until the power is finally exhausted. This can be extended to up to 20 minutes of light using the dimmer.
Latest Technology:
When sunlight shines onto the solar cell panel enclosed in the peak of the Solar Light Visor, photovoltaic technology converts this solar energy into electricity, which is then stored in three special batteries for later use. The Solar Light Visor then uses a microprocessor - a controlled charging and discharging system that provides pulse width modulation - to control the light brightness and various light pulse patterns. This allows even light brightness as the battery discharges and saves power when using the dimmer or pattern controls.

Better for the environment because the Solar Light Visor uses clean solar energy and there is no polluting Cadmium from discarded batteries leaching into and poisoning the landfills. The long life rechargeable batteries contained within the cap are made from Nickel Metal Hydride.
