To Charge the Solar Energy Manager (Black control box)
Simply place the waterproof solar panel where it can receive the strongest possible sunlight – outside if possible. Plug the 5m cable into the Solar Energy Manager (input marked with the sun symbol). The Solar Energy Manager should be placed in a dry, shady place and the red light (on the left) indicates it is charging. Charging is complete when the light turns green (6-8 hours). Disconnect the solar panel. The yellow light (on the right) on the Solar Energy Manager indicates that the device is in use – charging a phone/iPod, recharging batteries or running the LED light bulb. This yellow light will flash when the internal battery needs recharging. When the yellow light flashes, please connect the solar panel to repeat the charging process.

How to Charge your Mobile Phone or iPod:
Connect the USB converter to the Solar Energy Manager (input marked with a phone symbol). Select the appropriate adaptor plug for your phone/iPod. Plug into USB converter and then into phone. Switch Solar Energy Manager on. The yellow light indicator on the top right of the Solar Energy Manager indicates that the device is in use.

How to Charge 2 AA Rechargeable Batteries:
Insert 2 rechargeable batteries (supplied) into the battery pack following correct polarity. Plug into Solar Energy Manager (input is marked with battery symbol). Switch Solar Energy Manager on. The 2 x AA batteries in the battery pack are being charged when the indicator light on the battery pack is red. When this light turnsgreen they are fully charged. Disconnect the battery pack.

How to Use the LED Light Bulb:
