Simply place the waterproof solar panel where it can receive the strongest possible sunlight – outside if possible. Plug the 5m cable into the Solar Energy Manager (input marked with the sun symbol). The Solar Energy Manager should be placed in a dry, shady place and the red light (on the left) indicates it is charging. Charging is complete when the light turns green (6-8 hours). Disconnect the solar panel. The yellow light (on the right) on the Solar Energy Manager indicates that the device is in use – charging a phone/iPod, recharging batteries or running the LED light bulb. This yellow light will flash when the internal battery needs recharging. When the yellow light flashes, please connect the solar panel to repeat the charging process.
How to Charge your Mobile Phone or iPod:
Connect the USB converter to the Solar Energy Manager (input marked with a phone symbol). Select the appropriate adaptor plug for your phone/iPod. Plug into USB converter and then into phone. Switch Solar Energy Manager on. The yellow light indicator on the top right of the Solar Energy Manager indicates that the device is in use.
How to Charge 2 AA Rechargeable Batteries:
Insert 2 rechargeable batteries (supplied) into the battery pack following correct polarity. Plug into Solar Energy Manager (input is marked with battery symbol). Switch Solar Energy Manager on. The 2 x AA batteries in the battery pack are being charged when the indicator light on the battery pack is red. When this light turnsgreen they are fully charged. Disconnect the battery pack.
How to Use the LED Light Bulb:
Connect the light bulb USB cable into the Solar Energy Manager (input marked with lightbulb symbol). Switch Solar Energy Manager on.
Note: The light bulb, cellphone charger and battery pack charging can be operated simultaneously while the control box is charging. Switch Solar Energy Manager “on”.
Operating Times:
Internal battery charge: 6-8 hours in direct sunlight
LED light bulb: 7 hours
Cellphone charges: 3 x full charge for regular phone, 2 x full charge for 3G phone
No Danger of Overcharge
The Solar Multi Charger uses a 6V solar control box (Solar Energy Manager) enabled by a Micro-Computer Control (MCC) core control unit for Ni-MH battery charge and discharge control, with over-voltage, over-discharge and over-current control systems.

Directions for Care
Do not expose the battery pack to bright sunshine while solar panel is charging.
Charge Solar Energy Manager fully for a whole day before first use.
Solar Energy Manager should be charged at least once per month, for at least 6 hours in direct sunlight.
The Solar Energy Manager can also be charged by a DC converter, with an output 9V DC. If charging at a higher voltage the Solar Energy Manager storage capacity will be damaged.
The Solar Energy Manager must always be kept in a dry, shady place.
Keep away from fire and corrosives.
Always keep solar panel surface clean and in good condition.
Avoid all sudden impact (do not throw, drop, allow to fall or knock)
