About Wool Bedding
Wool is wonderful, natural bedding material and is highly sought after worldwide for its superior insulation qualities. It efficiently regulates the temperature and moisture around your body for ultimate sleeping comfort - keeping you warm in cold conditions and cool in hot. It does this by insulating you from both cold and heat extremes, breathing and wicking moisture away from your body. Our high quality wool fleece underlay is produced using ‘sliverknit’ technology where the wool is knitted with a base to produce a pile or fleece fabric. During the manufacturing process the wool is coated with a permanent treatment to allow it to be machine washed (on a gentle cycle) and not matt or loose its pile quality. It is then backed with densely woven Japara cotton and finished with a bound edge.
Our natural wool bedware is made using premium grade wool and is manufactured by a long established New Zealand-owned company in Christchurch.
