Nostalgic toys from yesteryear. Die-cast aluminium tractor, with front end loader, and matching tip trailer.
Reproduced from original Fun Ho! moulds.
Strong, non-rust and made to last. The perfect weight and size to push through mounds of sand to build roads and dig ditches! Two levers operate the bucket – one to lift it up and down, the other to tip. Plus there's a tow hook to attach the trailer (available separately).
Choose the tractor on its own, or include the matching die-cast aluminium tip trailer. Great for in the sandpit, it too is strong, tough and made to last. With the trailer's tip tray, you can dump sand without detaching from the loader.
Suitable for ages 3+.
Tractor measures approx 22cm long by 10cm wide.
Trailer measures approx 20cm long by 13cm wide.
About Fun Ho!
For over 70 years in New Zealand Fun Ho! has been a household name for robust, quality toys. Still found in sandpits and toy collections around the world, the original Fun Ho! toys are highly sought after collectables.
Fun Ho! began in a Wellington basement in the mid 1930s, when Jack Underwood created his first toys. A few years later the Underwood factory made its home in Inglewood on the West Coast of the North Island of New Zealand, eventually employing up to 200 workers!
The first toys were manufactured in lead (1935 - 1945) and showed remarkable attention to detail.
After the lead collection, came the extensive range of aluminium toys (1942 - 1982), hand made, sand cast, tough and durable. These iconic New Zealand toys were unique 'Kiwiana' made for outdoor use – they do not even rust when buried for years in the sand pit.
Competition from cheap imported plastic toys saw toy making cease in the 1980s – until a former employee opened the Fun Ho! National Toy Museum, producing a range of reproduction Fun Ho! Toys and collectibles from the original patterns.
