- So far, $50,000 has been raised for the author’s and illustrator’s chosen charities, the Christchurch Women’s Refuge and Te Tai Tamariki (Children’s Literature Charitable Trust).
- Supported by the Scholastic international community, funds from worldwide sales of Quaky Cat are going to the Christchurch Mayoral Earthquake Appeal administered by the New Zealand Red Cross.
