Beautiful metal sculpture wall art featuring New Zealand’s iconic Tui. Handcrafted in New Zealand from stainless steel. Suitable to hang inside or out.
Tui squabbling in a flowering Flax is a familiar sight in New Zealand and it is captured here in stunning detail. The steel is heat treated to produce a range of beautiful colours – each piece being individual.
The artist works with marine grade stainless steel so this sculpture may be hung inside or out without concern. Includes hanging loop on the back.
Measures approx. 35cm / 13¾ inches long by 34cm / 13½ inches high.
Please note, each piece is handmade and may differ slightly from that pictured.
If necessary, please just clean, or dust, with a damp cloth. Do not use any cleaning products as this may damage the sculpture.
About the artist
Steven Doreèn lives in Nelson, New Zealand and has been a full-time artist since 2002. Steven is a perfectionist when it comes to detail and when required will study each species from scientific record to ensure his representation is correct. Not all of Steven’s works are true to life however, with some of his pieces being creatively evolved.
The pieces he makes are highly polished and heat treated to produce a range of beautiful colours. The work is then coated which adds to the shine and protects the metal.
