New Zealand Beeswax with a cotton wick and traditional bell top shape - beautiful, healthy and eco-friendly. By National Candles of New Zealand
Beeswax is one of nature's treasures. Prized since antiquity, fragrant beeswax candles burn longer and cleaner than other wax candles. In fact, pure beeswax has the highest melting point of any known wax. Their slow flame gives off more light and heat than other waxes and are virtually drip free if kept away from drafts. Beeswax candles also perfume the air with a subtle natural honey essence.
Small measures 65 x 100mm with approx 30hrs burn time.
Medium measures 65 x 150mm with approx 50hrs burn time.
Tall measures 50 x 200mm with approx 50hrs burn time.
Beeswax is the only fuel to emit negative ions when burning. This means all positively charged particles such us dust, odours, toxin, pollen, mould etc will float towards the flame. This process cleans the air and is thought to be beneficial for people with allergies and environmental sensitivities.
Beeswax candles are the eco-friendly choice as they are a totally renewable by-product of the ancient and environmentally essential beekeeping industry. Typically, for a honey bee keeper, ten pounds of honey yields approx one pound of wax. Beeswax gets its colour and aroma from the honey and pollen packed into each honeycomb cell.
Please note: these candles are 80% beeswax, a natural product, and there are seasonal variations in what the bees collect and conditions in which the wax is produced. Therefore colour and finish may vary.
