Payment Method & Transmission of Payment Card Data

We accept payment by credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard or American Express) and use “Stripe”, an online payment processing system, for all credit card transactions. We use the industry standard security protocol Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) to encode sensitive information like your credit card number while it passes through the internet.

  • We cannot access your full credit or debit card number because all data is transferred and secured by “Stripe”.
  • “Stripe” has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1.
  • When we accept your payment, it is with the understanding that you are an authorised user of the credit or debit card presented as payment.
  • We do not process an order until payment has been received in full.

Currencies, Product Prices & GST

  • Product Prices and Delivery/Shipping are presented in four currencies – NZ$, AU$, US$ and UK£.
  • NZ$ prices and shipping include New Zealand GST (Goods & Services Tax = 15%) which is deducted when the destination is not New Zealand
  • AU$ prices and shipping include Australia GST (Goods & Services Tax = 10%) which is deducted when the destination is not Australia
  • US$ prices exclude taxes but are adjusted for GST if destination is New Zealand or Australia.
  • UK£ price exclude taxes (i.e. exclude VAT) but are adjusted for GST if destination is New Zealand or Australia.

Order Processing & Notifications

All orders are subject to product availability and acceptance by us and we confirm such acceptance, so it is vital to enter your email address correctly AND provide a deliverable address. In New Zealand, delivery is by courier. In other countries, delivery is by airmail or, for some destinations, by international courier.

An Order Confirmation is emailed automatically to you when we receive your order.

  • Sender = orders@nznature.co.nz
  • Subject Line = Your New Zealand Nature order confirmation
  • It shows your order number, the billing and delivery address you entered, the items you ordered, and what you paid.
    • When the name of the order recipient differs from yours, we assume it is a gift and therefore no documentation related to the order value is enclosed.
    • However, orders sent out of New Zealand do require a customs declaration on the outside specifying parcel contents and their value.

A Despatch Confirmation is emailed automatically to you when your order is collected from our premises and officially shipped.

  • Sender = noreply@notification.starshipit.com
  • Subject Line = NZ Nature Sales Order - shipping confirmation
  • The sender is actually New Zealand Post who we engage to deliver both within New Zealand and internationally.
    • For orders sent within New Zealand, this confirmation contains the Courier Post tracking number and the link to their tracking service.
    • For orders sent internationally, depending upon the service you choose, or the service available for the destination country, it will contain a unique parcel reference or a tracking code with a link to the New Zealand Post tracking service.
  • We issue a GST invoice with every order. (GST – New Zealand Goods & Service Tax  which = Zero when we send an order out of New Zealand)

Special Note - Customs Duty & Sales Taxes

  • On some occasions customs services inspect parcels. This may result in duty and sales tax being applied and delivery delays. We at New Zealand Nature have no control over this and it remains the responsibility of the individual customer. 
  • However, if we are shipping your order to New Zealand or Australia, the relevant Goods & Services Tax is applied automatically when you order.

Special Note – Gifting

  • We enclose a standard "Best Wishes from" note bearing your name so that the recipient knows we have sent th eorder on your behalf.

Special Note - Order Amendments Prior to Despatch

  •  If you make a mistake with your order it may be possible to correct this by emailing us immediately.
  • This excludes adding additional items as we have no access to your credit card details.
  • This also excludes applying any order discount code or special offers retrospectively.
  • If your order has already been picked/packed for despatch, you will be unable to amend your order in any manner, but you can return the item(s) to us in accordance with our Returns & Exchanges Policy.
