Fresh Royal Jelly loses half of its biological activity within 24 hours and one of the best ways of preserving it is to mix it with honey – a wholly natural preservative. Even better that the honey is highly beneficial in its own right. As well as being absolutely delicious, this Manuka Honey is rich in antioxidants and has been independently tested and certified to contain a total strength of MGOTM 400+.
Manuka Health New Zealand Royal Jelly in MGOTM400+ Manuka Honey contains fresh, New Zealand-sourced Royal Jelly.
Most soft gel Royal Jelly capsules on the market in New Zealand do not contain New Zealand sourced Royal Jelly.
About Royal Jelly
Royal Jelly is an extremely nutritious creamy food substance produced by nursing bees to feed young growing bees and the hive’s queen. It is derived from the proteins and nutrients in the pollen ingested by the nursing bees. It is the exclusive food of the queen bee that lives about 6 years, while worker bees live about 6 weeks. The only difference between queens and workers is their diet!
Royal Jelly is abundant in proteins, amino acids, lipids, natural hormones, minerals, fatty acids and B Vitamins – thiamine, riboflavin, pyridoxine, niacin, folic acid and pantothenic acid – one of the most important contributors to brain development.
The most important and unique component of royal jelly is 10-hydroxydecanoic acid – 10H2DA. The fatty acid, exclusively found in Royal Jelly, has been found responsible for its hormonal balancing and collagen production properties.
Please note: Manuka Health Fresh New Zealand Royal Jelly in MGOTM400+ Manuka Honey contains fresh, New Zealand-sourced Royal Jelly. Most soft gel Royal Jelly capsules on the market in New Zealand do not contain New Zealand sourced Royal Jelly.
About Manuka Honey
Methylglyoxal measurement is a recent development, based on the discovery in 2006 that the naturally-occurring compound Methyglyoxal is the dominant beneficial constituent in Manuka honey from New Zealand. The test for Methyglyoxal concentration uses highly-accurate and automated HPLC laboratory analysis. The number shows the tested concentration of Methyglyoxal mg/kg, ie MGO550+ has a concentration of more than 550mg of Methylglyoxal per kg of honey. In Manuka Honey Methylglyoxal content ranges from 100mg/kg to over 800mg/kg, while other honeys tested worldwide range between 0 to 5mg/kg. The higher the level of Methylglyoxal, the stronger the Manuka honey.
